How DOT Physicals Work

Your DOT physical at AW Aesthetics and Wellness is performed by a certified medical examiner and follows all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) guidelines. Our goal is to ensure you’re medically qualified to operate a commercial vehicle safely—without unnecessary delays or complications.

  • Medical History Review
We’ll start by reviewing your medical history, current medications, and any past health concerns that could affect driving safety.

  • Comprehensive Health Exam
Your provider will assess vital signs, vision, hearing, cardiovascular health, and overall physical condition to confirm compliance with DOT standards.

  • Urinalysis & Screening
A routine urine test is completed to check for glucose, protein, and other key indicators of your health.

  • Certification & Documentation
Once the exam is complete, and if you meet all requirements, you’ll receive your DOT medical certificate the same day. Results are electronically submitted to the FMCSA as required.

At AW Aesthetics and Wellness, we make the process simple, thorough, and professional—so you can get back to work safely and quickly.

What DOT Physicals Assess:

What to Expect

You’ll begin by completing a brief medical history form and providing a list of any current medications. Be sure to bring a valid driver’s license and any corrective lenses or hearing aids you use.

Your provider will review your medical history and conduct a thorough physical exam—including vision, hearing, and blood pressure testing—to ensure compliance with FMCSA standards.
